Handicraft technique
of glassware production need spade work and ability to feel glass. For work
glass rods of different thickness and colour are used, which in the flame of the
igniter warm up to a plastic state at temperature 1500 - 1700ºC. With the help
of the instruments softened glass gains the required shape. This is something
like of plasticine, only with the help of pincers and devices in the flame of
igniter.
While working,
it's necessary to remember that the glassware must have constant and equable
temperature all over the surface, otherwise the glasswork can crack. It is very
important not to overheat glass. In the case of overheating the glass can loose
it's shape.
